Story
Marco’s Story
My name is Marco and I’m 9 years old. 16 months ago I had brain surgery to treat one of my congenital brain conditions (Chiari Malformation). It wasn’t very nice but I am really lucky that now I am able to be a normal kid. There are other children with brain conditions, like tumours, that are not so lucky, as there is no cure yet.
Matt’s Story
From our neurosurgical experience, I know there is much funding needed for research, resources and support for families in South Australia so I will be running the marathon in the Adelaide Marathon Festival on May 27th to raise money for the NRF in Adelaide.
Marco will be running 2km in the Adelaide Marathon Festival on 26th May with his sister Lily.
Amanda will be running 10km. A 56.2km family total.
