Brain tumour research fundraiser!!
Story
Thanks for visiting my page.
In January 2015 I was diagnosed with a brain tumour the size of an apple. This monster had been growing in my head for approximately 2 years unbeknown to me. I was fortunate that it was stage 2 and benign. After 5 months, the tumour fragments that remain in my brain have not grown or changed... so I consider myself to be very lucky.
Not everyone is as fortunate as me. There are so many types of tumours and grades of tumours, but more research needs to be done to find causes and cures.
The NeuroSurgical Research Foundation is based in North Adelaide. NeuroSurgery saves lives every day, medical research saves lives in the future. I want to raise $7200.00 for the NeuroSurgical Research Foundation, as that is how much it cost me to have my tumour removed in a private hospital, with private health insurance.
If I could have my time again, I would donate that same amount of money so I didn't have to go through the ordeal... or put my family and friends through the worry.
Please help me, help others (and their families) avoid having to go through this!
