NanoZoomer Appeal
Story
The aim is to raise $80,000 to fund the purchase of a new large tissue NanoZoomer for the Neurosurgical Research Group under the direction of the NRF Chair of Neurosurgical Research.
A NanoZoomer revolutionises digital storage and analysis of pathology slides and the small slide version purchased several years ago has significantly increased the research output of the Neurosurgical Research Group.
There is now a critical need to invest in a new large tissue NanoZoomer RS with the capacity to accept double sized slides. This will facilitate work on large tissue sections, including human brain sections. The instrument will also significantly increase the ability to store and analyse these large sections using the latest digital technology, and result in increased research outputs.
Benefiting lifesaving research in the areas of Brain Tumours, Traumatic Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury Stroke and Concussion.
